Security Update: No, Our Heart Wasn’t Bleeding! #heartbleed

You have likely heard by this point about the “heartbleed bug” that hit the Internet this week. Many popular and secure sites (Gmail, Facebook, Pinterest, etc.) have been affected, and we want let you know that WellnessFX’s systems were not.

Several third-party services integrated with our product were vulnerable, but were quickly patched, and while our normal level of security was temporarily reduced during the window of vulnerability, we have no reason to believe that any of our customer data was compromised. Phew!

Please be assured that our engineers have assessed the impact on our systems and none appear to have been directly affected, as we’re using a different version of OpenSSL than the one affected by the bug, and due to security measures we have in place with our hosting account.

Our top priority has been to keep your data 100% private and secure, and that will continue to be a top priority for us.

For any questions or concerns, please contact us at support@wellnessfx.com.

And while we’re on the topic of bleeding hearts, have you checked out our new Advanced Heart Health panel? Get insights into your lipoprofile counts, particle sizes and more.
