The Value Of A Practitioner Consultation

You receive your WellnessFX blood data. Your Total Cholesterol looks fine, but you notice the LDL is a little high and your ApoB is in the red. This is odd. You’ve cut out most of the fat and eat a lean, healthy diet. You workout at least an hour a day. You’re the shining image of health.

But could there be something wrong? You feel healthy but . . . is that the whole story?

Another great month at WellnessFX! We had an awesome Fireside Chat with Tim Ferriss and Dr. Justin Mager, we opened up in Michigan, and we were named one of the top health apps by Greatist.

Most importantly, we’ve continued offering awesome services to our members. We take feedback very seriously and are grateful to have such a smart, vocal community. All feedback is shared with the entire WellnessFX staff, from engineers to bloggers to even the CEO himself. This encourages everyone to push towards great new ways of putting healthcare back in the hands of the patient. As a bonus, it also encourages and reminds us of WellnessFX’s awesome impact!

Dave is all about the quantified self movement. He sleeps with a Zeo, tracks his movement with a pedometer, and has a subscription to 23andMe. He recently left his day job and is now self-employed. But because of a pre-existing health condition, he hasn’t been able to get affordable insurance. Since he has to pay for services out of pocket, he wants the most bang for his buck. He’d heard about WellnessFX, thought it could be a good value, and decided to check it out.

Here was his experience:

  • Finding a lab nearby Dave was super easy. He was in and out in 15 minutes, including the time it took to fill out necessary paperwork.
  • Dave went in for his blood test on a Tuesday. He had his results by Friday.

WellnessFX: Healthy Insights, Healthy Body, Healthy Mind

Rachel Quotes 1

Rachel knows that real health isn’t only about how you look, or how you feel. Like the old adage goes, it’s what’s on the inside that counts.

She came to WellnessFX through the FitFluential campaign already with this mindset. Still, WellnessFX “absolutely’ exceeded her expectations.

Although WellnessFX was not yet available in Massachusetts (we’re working on it!), Rachel traveled to her home town in Connecticut to have her draw. She documented her experience pretty thoroughly on her blog. Here’s a quick summary:

WellnessFX, Thyroid Issues, and . . . Gluten Free?

Personal trainer. Coach. Vegan. Debbie Woodruff has dedicated her whole life to fitness. Now, with much to celebrate as she nears her 55th birthday, she wants to take her health to the next level. She decided to get a WellnessFX Baseline blood-draw.

Debbie is no stranger to blood tests. But when she had one a year ago, she hardly received any context with her results. She spent precious time in front of a computer looking up what everything meant, and what levels were considered healthy. WellnessFX, on the other hand, supplied a “web page that, once your results come in, shows you the results of your tests, the healthy and unhealthy ranges, plus a link to explain each result.”
